FAQ
Questions worth answering
before you book.
If something’s not here, that’s what the discovery call is for. No question is too basic to ask directly.
General
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching and therapy are different disciplines with different goals. Therapy often works with diagnosis and healing from the past, while coaching works forward from where you are now toward a specific goal. If what you need is clinical or medical care, coaching isn’t a substitute for that, and we’ll say so directly rather than take you on anyway.
What languages do you work in?
Romanian, English, and Polish, across the two coaches at Magister Coach. Let us know your preference when you book, and we’ll match you accordingly.
Is this in-person or remote?
Both, depending on format and location. Most one-to-one sessions run remotely; workshops and some team sessions can be delivered in person. We’ll confirm what’s possible for your situation on the discovery call.
Getting Started
How do I know which direction is right for me?
You don’t have to know before you reach out. Find Your Direction is a two-question tool built for exactly this. Or just book a discovery call and we’ll work it out together.
What happens after I book a call?
We read what you submitted, follow up within 1–2 business days, and find a time for a first conversation of 30–60 minutes. No pressure, no scripts, and no obligation to continue afterward.
Is the first call really free?
Yes. It exists to find out whether this is the right fit (for you and for us) before anything is decided.
What if I'm not ready to book yet?
That’s what The Pattern Room and the free guide are for, so you can get a feel for how we think before deciding anything.
Individuals
What kind of situations do you work with?
Transitions, confidence, expat life, continuing recovery work alongside clinical care, role changes, and the patterns that quietly repeat across all of those. See the Individuals page for the fuller picture.
Is this a replacement for therapy or medical treatment?
No. Coaching complements clinical and medical care. It’s not a substitute for therapy, medical treatment, or licensed mental health support. If you’re currently in treatment, we work alongside it, not instead of it.
One-to-one or group? Which is right for me?
One-to-one is fully personalized and works well for focused, individual work. Group coaching adds shared experience with others navigating something similar, often at a lower cost. Many clients do both. We’ll talk through which fits on the discovery call.
Businesses
Do you work with teams, or just individuals?
Both. One-to-one executive and leadership coaching, team coaching and development, and workshops. See the Businesses page for the formats.
Can my company pay for this instead of me?
Yes, this is common for executive coaching. Mention it on the discovery call and we’ll sort out invoicing to your organization directly.
Coaches
When does the Coaches membership launch?
2027. Join the waitlist to hear the moment it opens. No commitment involved.
Can I get access to mentor coaching?
Yes. Just contact us and we’ll figure out exactly what it is that you need.
Logistics
How many sessions do I need?
It depends on what you’re working through. Some engagements are a handful of sessions with a specific outcome; others run longer. We’ll set expectations together early rather than lock you into a number upfront.
What does this cost?
It depends on the format. One-to-one versus group, a single engagement versus an ongoing one, and for businesses, team size. Rather than publish a number that won’t reflect your actual situation, we go over exact pricing on the discovery call. No cost or obligation to ask.
Can I cancel or reschedule a session?
Yes, life happens. Exact rescheduling windows and any related policy are confirmed when you book, so there are no surprises later.
Privacy
Is what I share confidential?
Yes. What you share in coaching stays between you and your coach. Full details on what we collect and how it’s handled are in our Privacy Policy.
